Day 1

Drive from Kathmandu to Dhunche or Syabrubesi, or Timure/ Tatopani (Kodari)

The sixth day marks the beginning of your Kailash Yatra since you would finally drive out of Kathmandu to either Dhunche, Syabrubesi, or Timure, or to Tatopani/Kodari, depending on your route.
Depending on the route, your destination will be Dhunche, Syabrubesi, or Timure. The drive introduces you to rural Nepal with tiny villages and cultivation stretching across hill tops. On arrival, check into an earlier booked guesthouse for your comfort.
Meal: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

दिन ०१: काठमाडौं पशुपतिनाथबाट बिहान ८ स्याब्रुबेसी वा टिमुरेसम्म गडीमा जानेछौं।
स्याब्रुबेसी (१,६०० मिटर / १४१ किलोमिटर / ६ घण्टा) वा टिमुरेसम्म गडीमा जानेछौं ।

Day 2

Drive to Kerung County (2850m) or Nyalam (3750m)

Following your rest at either of these locations, the location on this day is Kerung County or Nyalam, depending on the road. The journey begins with a drive to Rasuwagadhi or Kodari for the immigration process at the Nepal-Tibet border. Having completed the processes, you proceed to drive to Kerung County in Tibet. During this time, you are able to see Tibetan culture as you enter your mystic nation. At the destination, you take an overnight stop in a hotel.

दिन ०२: केरुङ्सम्म गडीमा जानेछौं । (२,८५० मिटर)
रसुवागढीसम्म गडीमा (स्याब्रुबेसीबाट १,८०० मिटर / १५ किमी / ४५ मिनेट) र १५ मिनेट पैदल यात्राबाट सीमासम्म, त्यसपछि अध्यागमन पूरा गर्नेछौं र ४५ मिनेट २५ किलोमिटर यात्रा गरि केरूङ् पुग्नेछौं।

Day 3

Stay at Kerung/ Nyalam

The eighth day is about acclimatization, a very important component of the Kailash Mansarovar Tour Overland 2026. You have a quiet day at Kerung or Nyalam, surrounded by the serene beauty of the Tibetan highlands. Relaxing walks in the area are highly recommended, where you stretch your legs, explore the area, and gradually get accustomed to the altitude without putting yourself to work in the crisp mountain air.
You can have panoramic views of rock-strewn hills, prayer flags whipped by the winds, and Tibetan houses here and there along the peaceful trails as you stroll along. If you would also like to meet the friendly locals and observe the way they live, then you will have a peek at the region’s unique culture and customs.

दिन ०३: छोटो यात्रा र शारीरिक सन्तुलनका लागि केरुङमा बस्नेछौं।

Day 4

Drive to New Dongba( 4550m) / Saga

You would be somewhere in the middle of your yatra. Wake up early, with a pleasant, hearty breakfast, you move to the New Dongba via the Lalung La Pass. As you trek through this pass, you are able to witness the stunning vista of the grand Himalayan range, even a glimpse of Mount Shishapangma.
As you watch, you will then drive over the Brahmaputra River to arrive in Saga city, this day’s destination. Upon arrival at the destination, you relax for a while before dinner, and then head to the booked hotel for an overnight stay.

दिन ०४: सागासम्म गडीमा (४,५५० मिटर)
बिहान ९ बजे – ब्रेकफास्ट पछि – सागासम्मको (२२० किमी – ५ देखि ६ घण्टा) यात्रा गर्नेछौं र यो दिन हल्का टाउको दुख्ने वा वाक्वाकी लाग्ने एवम् शारीरिक असहज महशुस हुनेछ।
होटल: सागा होटल वा समान।

Day 5

Drive to Mansarovar Lake (4550m)

The tenth day of travel is all about driving to Lake Mansarovar. It’s a long journey, but the journey is quite beautiful with landscapes and mountain scenery.
Upon reaching this lake, you can either perform spiritual rituals and take holy water or simply look around the scenery. Then you will carry out a half-day parikrama around the lake in a local vehicle before moving on to a local mud house close to the lake for an overnight stay.

दिन ०५: सागादेखि मानसरोवर तालसम्म गडीमा (४,५५० मिटर)
बिहान ८ बजे – मानसरोवर ताल तर्फ जानेछौं (४५० किमी – ७ घण्टा) सुन्दर ठाउँहरू पार गर्दै र तालको किनारमा बस्नेछौं। सवारी साधनबाट मानसरोवर तालको परिक्रमा गरि आध्यात्मिक पानी भर्नेछौं र सो दिन ताल किनाराको होटलमा बस्नेछौं। (३ घण्टा – ९० किमी)

होटल: मानसरोवर ताल साइड लज ।

Day 6

Drive to Darchen (4650m)

The day starts with a ceremonial puja at Lake Mansarovar, where you participate in prayers and chanting within the peaceful environment of mantras and refreshing mountain air.
The tranquil water and picturesque backdrop of snowy summits foster a deeply spiritual vibe, ideal for contemplation and worship. Having spent a calming morning and lunch by the lake, you drive to Darchen, the start of the Mount Kailash Kora trek. The ride is beautiful as you drive through the wide panorama of the Tibetan countryside and the far-off mountain ranges.
You shall be checked into your hotel upon arrival, have your gear ready, and rest and prepare to leave the next day on the sacred trek

दिन ०६: दार्चेन सम्म गडीमा (४,६५० मिटर)
यो दिन हामी मानसरोवर तालमा पूजा (पूजा/प्रार्थना/अनुष्ठान) गर्नेछौं र पूजा-प्रार्थना सम्पन्न पश्चान भोजन गरी मानसरोवरको बाँकी रहेको परिक्रमा गर्दै दार्चेनसम्म गडीमा जानेछौं ।(३५ किलोमिटर – १ घण्टा)
होटल: हिमालयन होटल वा सो सरह।

Day 7

First Day of Outer Kora - Trek to Dirapuk (4860m) 12KM Trek

Following your stay at Darchen during this journey of Mansarovar Journey 2026, you shall head towards Tarboche.
Here you can visit the Yama Dwar, the gateway to Mount Kailash Kora. From here, you will start the 12 km trek to Dirapuk monastery, a journey that offers you an incredible view of the North Face of Mount Kailash. In case you are not trekking, you will have to wait at Darchen until the group’s return.
Note: If you are not doing Parikrama, then you will be waiting at Darchen – Mud Guest House with multiple sharing (if using Hotel Himalaya/any Chinese Hotel with attached bathroom, Cost Difference of USD50 per person for 2 nights is to be paid directly by the guest) till the group returns from Parikrama. Your accommodation and meals will be well arranged.
Night Stay: Mud Guest House

दिन ०७: बाहिरी कोराको पहिलो दिन – देरापुकसम्मको पदयात्रा (४,८६० मिटर)
बिहान १० बजे छोटो ड्राइभपछि हामी यमद्वार (तरबोचे) पुगी यमद्वारको दर्शन गर्नेछौं । यो कोराको लागि सुरूवात विन्दु हो। हामी देरापुक (४,८६० मिटर) सम्म पदयात्रा गर्नेछौं, जुन १२ किलोमिटरको पदयात्रा (५-६ घण्टा) हो। त्यहाँ पुगेपछि तपाईंले कैलाश हिमालको उत्तरी मुखको दर्शन गर्नुहुनेछ। कैलाश परिक्रमा जान नसक्ने यात्रुहरू सोही गाडीमा दार्चेन फर्कनु हुनेछ र समूहको बाँकी सदस्यहरू परिक्रमाबाट आइपुग्दासम्म दार्चेनमा बस्नुहुनेछ ।
होटल: माटोको घर मा एक कोठामा ५/६ जना बस्नु पर्नेछ।

Day 8

Trek to Zutulphuk (4760 m) (22 km ) - via Dolma La Pass(5,700 m)

This is the most challenging day of the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra by Overland journey.
On this day, you will trek through the steep rocky terrain to Dolma La Pass, which is the highest point of the Kora. You will then descend towards the Gauri Kunda.
After some rest at Phedi, you will continue to trek towards Zuthulphuk for the night. If you are not trekking any further, you shall remain at Darchen in a guesthouse for an overnight stay.
Night halt: Mud Guest House
Meal: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner

दिन ०८: बाहिरी कोराको दोस्रो दिन- डोल्माला पासको पदयात्रा को साथ जुथुलफुक (४६७० मिटर) सम्म
बिहान ७ बजे देरापुकदेखि डोल्मालापास हुँदै जुथुलपुकसम्मको पदयात्रा गर्नुहुनेछ (८-९ घण्टाको पदयात्राको लागि २२ किमी ट्रेक) । यो यात्राको सबैभन्दा कठिन यात्रा पनि हो किनकी तपाईंले देरापुकदेखि डोलमाला पाससम्म ५,७०० मिटर उचाई पार गर्दै जुथुलपुकसम्मको पदयात्रा गर्नुपर्नेछ।
होटल: माटोको घर मा एक कोठामा ५/६ जना बस्नु पर्नेछ।

Day 9

Drive Back to Saga (4550m - 470 kms - 7-8 hrs)

The fourteenth day of the journey begins with a filling breakfast and a short trek. Following a short-duration morning trek, you collect your team at Darchen, marking the end of your holy trek around Mount Kailash. Satisfied, you begin your journey back to Saga via the same road across the expansive highlands of Tibet.
The trip offers a beautiful view of fields, mountains, and peaceful Tibetan terrain. You arrive in Saga in the evening and overnight at your accommodation, where you can relax, reflect on your odyssey, and relax after a series of adventure days at high altitude.
Meal: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

दिन ०९: सागासम्म गडीमा जानेछौं (४,५५० मिटर – ४७० किलोमिटर – ७-८ घण्टा)
बिहान ८ बजे छोटो पदयात्रा पछि (८ किलोमिटर / ३ घण्टा) टी हाउसमा कोचलाई भेटी हामी दार्चेन गडीमा जानेछौं र दार्चेन होटलमा पर्खिरहेका अन्य सदस्यहरूका साथमा सागा जानेछौं। (४७० किलोमिटर / ७-८ घण्टा)

Day 10

Drive back to Kerung (2850m - 175KM – 4-5hrs) / Nyalam (3750m)

You drive back, hiking up high-altitude scenery to return to Kerung or Nyalam. The view on the way back is filled with satisfaction of having completed the Kailash Kora.
You drive through the rolling plateaus, mountain roads, and fluttering prayer flags in the gentle mountain breezes to get there. The journey remains peaceful as you reflect on the religious experience of the past two days and the blessings at Mount Kailash.
Overnight stay will be in a hotel, where you can relax and spend a quiet night amidst the peace of the Himalayas.
Meal: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

दिन १०: यो दिन हामी सागाबाट केरुङसम्मको (२,८५० मिटर – २२० किमी – ५ देखि ६ घण्टा)। गडीमा यात्रा गर्नेछौं र सो दिन केरूङमा बस्नेछौं । यो दिन यात्राको अन्तिम रात हुनाले हामी एक अर्काको यात्रानुभव साटासाट तथा मनोरञ्जन गर्नेछौं। यो दिन कैलाश मानसरोवर यात्रा सम्पन्न प्रमाणपत्र वितरण समेत गरिनेछ । (यो दिन यात्रा कर्मचारीलाई टिप्स दिन चाहने यात्रुहरूले टिप्स दिन सक्नुहुनेछ।)

Day 11

Drive to Kathmandu (1400m)

You leave Tibet on this day and enter Nepal at the frontier, completing your religious quest in the highlands.
The scenery slowly changes from the desolate grandeur of the Tibetan plateau to the greenish hills and Nepalese valleys for a much-needed relief from the scenery. The weather becomes warm, and the views become more vibrant as you descend, with terraced fields, rivers, and villages that greet your eyes.
Following the long but beautiful drive, you arrive in Kathmandu and rest in your hotel, where a warm meal and rest is waiting for you. You have free time in the evening to stroll around the city for a short walk or relax and reflect on the experience and blessings gained during your Mount Kailash Yatra Overland 2026.
Meal: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

दिन ११: काठमाडौंसम्म ड्राइभ गर्नुहोस् (१,४०० मिटर)
केरुङबाट सीमासम्म गाडीमा जानेछौं (४o किमी / १ घण्टा) र अध्यागमन औपचारिकताहरू पूरा गरी नेपाल तर्फको गाडीमा लगभग ७-८ घण्टामा काठमाडौंसम्म फर्कनेछौं ।

The Sherpa & Cooking Staff was Great. They are amazing people to Look after us and provide useful information at all levels from Shopping to Health and Food what should be eating. Also, They Travel with us from Nepal. As we cross the border another amazing soul, we met Diki & Pema. There were with us until return to China Border. How to be fit to complete Parikrama (Kora) of Kailash guidance provided by them is so useful. The Atmosphere were Amazing. Feel like soul home.  Verified Once in a life time experience at Mt. Kailash. I went on a tour to Lake Mansarovar and Mount Kailash with Kailash Vision Treks in July’26. It was an experience of a kind which I will remember for the rest of my life. The entire team was professional, responsive and respectful of our choices. Ngima Sherpa headed the tour with other members like Shambo, Buddha and few others. In spite of that fact that this was a spiritual journey, they tried their very best to make this journey fun and comfortable to the best of their abilities. They paid attention to each individual’s personal needs. Medicine was always handy and special meal requested were fulfilled. I could not have completed the Parikrama around Mount Kailash without the Almighty’s blessings and the support of this group and my fellow travelers. This all went beyond my expectations.  Verified Excellent service and food. We went to Kailash Mansarovar Yatra with Kailash Vision Treks on July 24, 2026 along with 26 participants from around the world. The service provided from day one to the end of the trip was excellent by Kailash Vision Treks and it exceeded our expectations. Our guide Mr. Nima Sherpa was exceptional, very informative, down to earth and helpful. The food provided throughout the journey was excellent (They even prepared us Pizza and Momo too). The kitchen staffs and other supporting staffs were excellent. Accommodation arrangements were excellent. The transportation arrangement was excellent too. The staffs even took care of all guests holy water collected from Mansarovar Lake and safely kept and transported back to Nepal and gave back to guests. Every logistical detail — permits, accommodation, and food — was handled smoothly, letting us focus entirely on the journey itself without any worries. Special thanks to the management team, Suman and Sandesh, for their excellent coordination and support throughout. Our cooks, Vishnu and Amrit, kept us well fed with great food even in remote, challenging conditions. Our guides — Raju and the team from the Nepal side, and Tilray from the Chinese side — truly went above and beyond their duties to make sure everything ran without a hitch.  Verified Horse Year, Element is Fire Kailash Kora 2026 July. The Trip Organizer as well as coordinator Suman was an excellent person for any communication. The Sherpa & Cooking Staff was Great. They are amazing people to Look after us and provide useful information at all levels from Shopping to Health and Food what should be eating. Also, They Travel with us from Nepal. As we cross the border another amazing soul, we met Diki & Pema. There were with us until return to China Border. How to be fit to complete Parikrama (Kora) of Kailash guidance provided by them is so useful. The Atmosphere were Amazing. Feel like soul home. I want to leave my life there until reach to Lord Shiva Home. The Group was very small as Last minute few has not turn up.
