Amazing company with fantastic staff! We organized a private tour to Kailash and Mansarovar with them, and the entire experience was truly wonderful. From the beginning, their team was professional, helpful, and very accommodating. Everything was well planned, and the staff made sure we were comfortable throughout the journey. They arranged very good hotels along the way, and the food prepared by their team every day was excellent. The staff always took care of our needs with a positive attitude and made the trip smooth and memorable. We really appreciated their support, kindness, and attention to detail. I would definitely choose this company again for future trips and highly recommend them to anyone planning a Kailash and Mansarovar tour.

An Unforgettable Kailash Journey with Kailash Vision Treks We had an absolutely wonderful and memorable experience with Kailash Vision Treks for our sacred Mount Kailash journey. From the very beginning until the completion of the Yatra, everything was organised extremely well, and the entire team was professional, caring and supportive. A very special thanks to Suman, who was always available to answer our questions and help us, no matter what time of the day. His responsiveness, patience and constant support gave us a lot of confidence throughout the entire journey. I would also especially like to thank our Tibetan tour guide, Ngima, who looked after me incredibly well throughout the trip. His care, kindness and attentiveness meant so much to me, particularly during the more challenging parts of the journey. I genuinely felt very well looked after and supported. Another huge appreciation goes to the wonderful cooks and support team. Considering the remote locations and difficult conditions of the Kailash journey, the food they provided was absolutely amazing — fresh, delicious and comforting. We were genuinely surprised by how tasty the meals were every day. Their hard work behind the scenes made our journey so much more comfortable. Kailash is not an ordinary holiday; it is a physically challenging, deeply spiritual and emotional pilgrimage. The entire team understood this and supported us with patience, compassion and genuine care. The arrangements, transportation, accommodation, food, guidance and overall coordination were handled extremely well. Reaching Mount Kailash and completing this sacred journey was a dream come true and one of the most meaningful experiences of my life. Kailash Vision Treks, Suman, Ngima, the cooks and the entire support team played a very important role in making that possible. I am deeply grateful to everyone who looked after us throughout this incredible journey. I would wholeheartedly recommend Kailash Vision Treks to anyone planning the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra. Thank you for helping make our Kailash journey a beautiful and unforgettable memory that we will cherish forever. 🙏🕉️ Har Har Mahadev! 🙏🔱

Best of the best tour is Kailash Vision Treks Our journey to Mount Kailash with Kailash Vision Treks was truly unforgettable. What started as a spontaneous booking turned into one of the most meaningful experiences of my life—and I am so grateful I chose this team. From the very beginning, Sagar was incredible. He answered every one of my calls, no matter what time of day, and made sure we always felt supported and reassured. Raju showed us the very best of the Kailash experience, taking care of every detail and making the journey feel effortless. Vishnu and Amrit deserve a special mention for keeping us so well fed with delicious Indian vegetarian food—breakfast, lunch and dinner every single day! ❤️ And then there was Tinley, our wonderful Tibet guide. During the Parikrama, I lost my phone on the mountain. Tinley went up and down the mountain searching for it until he found it. That moment said everything about the kind of people they are—they genuinely cared about us, not just as clients, but as people. Throughout the entire journey, we were treated like royalty. Our comfort, safety and happiness always felt like their number one priority. The Kailash journey is challenging, spiritual and incredibly special. Having the right people beside you makes all the difference. Kailash Vision Treks gave us much more than a trek—they gave us care, kindness, unforgettable memories and an experience I will carry in my heart forever. 🙏🏻🕉️ Thank you, Sagar, Raju, Vishnu, Amrit, Tinley and the entire Kailash Vision Treks team. I could not have asked for a better journey to Kailash. ❤️🙏🏻 HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Kailash Yatra A heartfelt thank you to Ngima Sherpa and Gombo for their incredible support, care and guidance throughout the journey. Their dedication, patience and encouragement made such a challenging pilgrimage feel safer and more manageable. They were always there when i needed them, and their kindness will remain a very special part of my Kailash experience. The journey was challenging at times, both physically and emotionally, but with the support of such wonderful people and the blessings of Mahadev, I was able to complete this sacred Yatra. I am returning with a heart full of gratitude, beautiful memories and a deeper sense of faith. Thank you, Ngima Sherpa and Gombo, for being such an important part of this unforgettable journey. Once in a life time experience at Mt. Kailash. I went on a tour to Lake Mansarovar and Mount Kailash with Kailash Vision Treks in July’26. It was an experience of a kind which I will remember for the rest of my life. The entire team was professional, responsive and respectful of our choices. Ngima Sherpa headed the tour with other members like Shambo, Buddha and few others. In spite of that fact that this was a spiritual journey, they tried their very best to make this journey fun and comfortable to the best of their abilities. They paid attention to each individual’s personal needs. Medicine was always handy and special meal requested were fulfilled. I could not have completed the Parikrama around Mount Kailash without the Almighty’s blessings and the support of this group and my fellow travelers. This all went beyond my expectations. I urge everyone to reach out to this tour group for an amazing lifetime experience. You will not be disappointed!!

Best Spiritual Experience with peace of mind We had such a great experience with Kailash vision treks. Before hand we got all the information and hotel bookings. Suman Ji and his team has arranged everything very well. During our tour guide Ngima and Gonpo provided all kind of support to our 26 members group during 13 days parikrama. Kitchen team (Purna, Buddha, Lhakpa, Pasang & Jagat) also helped us each and every moment during 14 days sacred Kailash Parikrama. Satvik Bhojan, Care, proper information and family atmosphere helped us to complete 3 days parikrama. We are fully recommended Kailash Vision Treks for your Kailash Parikrama. Har Har Mahadev.

Outstanding Mount Kailash Experience Our Mount Kailash trip was managed exceptionally well from start to finish. Every logistical detail — permits, accommodation, and food — was handled smoothly, letting us focus entirely on the journey itself without any worries. Special thanks to the management team, Suman and Sandesh, for their excellent coordination and support throughout. Our cooks, Vishnu and Amrit, kept us well fed with great food even in remote, challenging conditions. Our guides — Raju and the team from the Nepal side, and Tilray from the Chinese side — truly went above and beyond their duties to make sure everything ran without a hitch. They were flexible, attentive, and always worked to ensure the best possible outcome for us. This was a wonderfully organized, well-supported trip, and I’d highly recommend this company to anyone planning a Kailash journey.

FAQs

The Overland Kailash Mansarovar Yatra takes approximately 17 days, starting and concluding in Kathmandu, including travel, acclimatization, and spiritual Parikrama (circumambulation) around Mount Kailash. The itinerary is designed to make sure the pilgrims get enough acclimatization time at high-altitude conditions and can also accomplish the journey.

The best time to visit Kailash Mansarovar would be from May to September. During this season, the weather remains mostly peaceful and pleasant. During these months, Mount Kailash and Lake Mansarovar look beautiful under clear blue skies. This season also minimizes the possibility of disruption by snowfall or extreme cold.

It can be strenuous since most of the route is at high altitude, leading to AMS  and other fatigue. Yet, with good acclimatization and proper preparation and the help of the guide, most of the persons of average fitness can perform this yatra easily. We recommend consulting a doctor and doing physical training before the tour.

Accommodations vary from hotels in Kathmandu to guesthouses and basic lodges in remote areas. The facilities are extremely simple: shared rooms, high altitude with minimal facilities. It is recommended that the pilgrims carry essential items like sleeping bags for extra comfort.

Package Additional Details

Kailash Mansarovar yatra by overland starts from Kathmandu, you will travel by road throughout the journey.

Kailash Mansarovar Yatra is a deeply spiritual journey that is bound to fill you with mesmerizing memories. This journey is not just about traveling but also about finding deep spiritual meaning in oneself. Why? It is because Mount Kailash is not just a mountain but also a symbol of faith and belief among four religions of the world – “Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism, and Bon”. Followers of these religions believe that going on this journey cleanses your body and soul from the sins of the past and rejuvenates your body and soul.

Furthermore this mountain stands near the two significant lakes of Manasarovar and Rakshastal. As with Mount Kailash, both of these lakes hold deep religious and spiritual significance. While “Rakshastal” is somewhat seen with a darker aspect, this is balanced by the positive aspects of Lake Mansarovar, which is considered as the holy counterpart. It is believed that taking a dip in this lake cleanses your body and soul from the influence of evil. Because of this, Lake Mansarovar and Lake Rakshastal are seen to be the representation of the balance between good and evil.

While going on the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra By Overland package, you can visit all of these spiritual locations on foot while enjoying the stunning views of the mountains.

  • Traditional reception at Tribhuvan International Airport with overnight stay at a comfortable hotel.
  • Visit spiritual landmarks like Pashupatinath TempleBoudhanath Stupa, Budhanilkantha, and Swayambhunath Stupa.
  • Explore Bhaktapur Durbar Square, Dholeshwor Mahadev, and Dakshinkali Devi Temple, showcasing Nepal’s rich heritage.
  • Drive through Syabrubesi and cross the Nepal-Tibet border at Kerung, entering the stunning Tibetan plateau.
  • Witness the grandeur of Lalung La Pass (5,300m), Mount Shishapangma (8,000m), and the vast Tibetan landscapes.
  • Perform sacred rituals and Parikrama at Mansarovar Lake, a spiritual centerpiece of the Yatra.
  • Trek through Yama Dwar, Dolma La Pass (5,700m), and Zutulphuk, with awe-inspiring views of Mount Kailash and Gaurikund.
  • Experience Tibetan culture, Buddhist traditions, and group prayers at sacred sites.
  • Stay in well-organized mud houses, guesthouses, and hotels for rest and rejuvenation.
  • Safe and efficient transportation, including helicopter and private vehicles, guided by professional support teams.

Kailash Mansarovar Yatra By Overland is a tough journey that includes trekking through rough terrain. Therefore, you need to be in good physical condition to go on this journey. However, despite it being a tough journey, Kailash Mansarovar Yatra By Overland is a rewarding journey on its own. This journey fills you with deep spiritual fulfillment and cultural immersion, along with the views of the breathtaking natural beauty as you walk alongside the lush landscapes towards the most remote and scenic regions of the Tibetan area.

During the journey, you can also expect visits to the Tibetan monasteries after trekking through some of the rugged areas. That said, do note that you may face altitude sickness as you visit the monasteries because they are rather at high altitude areas of the Tibetan region. This is especially so during your travel through the Dolma La Pass area, which is over 5,600 meters above sea level.

One of the key achievements in the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra by Overland journey is passing through the Dolma La Pass. This pass lies at an altitude of 5,636 meters and is one of the defining features of the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra. It is also known as a sacred threshold in Tibetan Buddhism, and it represents the aspect of spiritual rebirth. Passing through this pass is known to bless you with lord Tara and cleanse your sins. Dolma La Pass is marked by the prayer flags and pilgrims along the way, which adds to the profound energy of the place.

Trekking to this region typically lasts on the second day of the Kailash Kora, but in our case, it is on the thirteenth day and is only a passing checkpoint. Regardless, it is still a challenging test of endurance and the journey starts from Dirapuk Monastery. You walk through the rocky terrain and thin air, which requires you to have decent physical strength and mental resilience. The good news here is that your effort is rewarded with stunning views of the humbling mountains as you pass through this pass.

Needless to say, conquering this tough pass is a spiritual triumph on its own which transcends the physical challenges. The conquest offers you a deep sense of accomplishment, divine blessings, and a connection with the sacred self. Completing the challenging journey past Dolma La Pass is a testament to your faith, devotion, and the enduring power of the human spirit.
