The highest point is 4,130 metres at Annapurna Base Camp, making acclimatisation and gradual ascent important.

Trekkers enjoy close-up views of Annapurna I, Annapurna South, Machhapuchhre (Fishtail), Hiunchuli, Gangapurna, and Annapurna III.

The best seasons are spring (March–May) for blooming rhododendrons and autumn (September–November) for clear skies and stable weather.

Altitude sickness is possible due to the elevation, but the route includes gradual ascents and acclimatisation days to minimise risk.

Accommodation is in tea houses, offering basic but comfortable rooms and freshly prepared meals along the trail.
